BOARD OF DIRECTORS MEETING
JUNE 14, 2013
Bob Cory called the meeting to order at 10:04 AM
Dave Luenzmann, Marilyn Jones, and Jeanne Kiley were present, representing a quorum, as well as Karen Hopkins representing Preferred Management Services. There were no guests.
The May 17, 2013 Board Meeting Minutes were approved.
Joann Keenan, a Vice President with Brown & Brown Insurance, provided an overview of her company’s insurance proposal which would cover both buildings, bath house and pool equipment building as well as provide for flood insurance coverage. This policy would become effective on June 30, 2013 and terminate after one year, June 30, 2014. The Board asked Miss Keenan to provide additional cost information for Excess Flood Insurance. She will check the rates and get back to us prior to June 30, 2013.
The landscaping in the circle in front of Building II is in need of an overhaul. Several of the palm bushes are in very bad condition and the ground cover is sparse; the over all appearance does not reflect an appealing image. A meeting will be scheduled with Mark Smith during the week of June 17th to determine what needs to be done to bring the circle back to an attractive entrance to Building II.
One of our CD’s is coming due this month. Approximately 63% will be reinvested into a new CD and the balance put into a Money Market account.
Bob Cory arranged for a consulting firm, recommended by the Florida State Department of Inspections, to come in and do a review of the operation and maintenance parameters of our elevators. Their written report will be available shortly.
