LA GRANDE PROVENCE
CONDOMINIUM ASSOCIATION, INC.
BOARD OF DIRECTORS MEETING
May 7, 2012
Tony Papandrea called the meeting to order at 12:55 pm.
Bob Cory, Barbara Cooledge and Jeanne Kiley were present, representing a quorum, as well as Karen Hopkins from Preferred Management. There were two guests.
The Minutes of the March 5, 2012 Annual and regular Board Meetings were approved.
BRAZILIAN PEPPER PLANTS:
A proposal from Coastal Consulting and Restoration was received, covering the removal of this vegetation from the dunes in front of our two buildings, at a cost of $11,880.00. In checking with the County Land Management people, Karen learned that they would remove this vegetation at no charge to us. Karen will verify that DEP permits are or are not required and the work will be done according to their schedule. This removal should be completed before the end of summer.
BUILDING ll LOBBY RE-MODELING:
A discussion of the merits of upgrading this area resulted in a decision to leave it “as is” since the suggested refinements would far exceed our limited budget. However, plants will be replaced, additional low-light plants will be purchased to enhance the top of the mailboxes and the existing table will be painted.
LA GRANDE WEB SITE:
Due to Karen’s efforts, our updated website (lagrandeprovence.com) is up and running. There’s a wealth of helpful information to view and it will soon carry a listing of units for sale in our buildings. This information will be part of the next mailing to our owners.
NEW BUSINESS:
Our buildings need repainting and a request for bids will be sent out shortly.
This work will be scheduled for 2013.
The Guaranteed Assessment Program (GAP) is in effect and working smoothly.
OLD BUSINESS:
An owner had several items that he felt needed to be addressed. Most of them are maintenance related issues and will be taken care of by our maintenance staff.
There being no further business, the meeting adjourned at 1:42PM
Respectfully submitted,
Jeanne Kiley, Secretary
